Create E-Commerce Website

To create an E-commerce website, We need a special plugin named "Woo Commerce" and install it, in WordPress site.



Steps to install WooCommerce
Step 1: Login in your WordPress site.

Step 2: Install WooCommerce supported theme such (Vantage)

Step 3: Download and install "WooCommerce" Plugin

Step 4: Now Activate the "Woo Commerce" Plugin.

Step 5: Click on "Run the Setup Wizard"

Step 6: Install Woo Commerce Pages.

Step 7: Set currency and payment settings.

Step 8: Create product category by "Product->Category"

Step 9: Now point to "Products" and click on "Add product"

Step 10: Enter product title with complete details.

Step 11: Insert product price, image and short description.

Step 12: Finally click on "Publish" button.

WooCommerce Pages

Shop: This page show all added products.

Cart: This page display all products which selected by user..

My Account: This page allows customers to manage their details and track their orders.

Checkout: This page allow the user to finalise the purchase and enter the shipping details.

Product Types

Simple products: This is the default type of product and It contains simple components such as price, product description, product image gallery, stock information, and so on.

Variable products: The variable products store variations of a particular product.
For example a cell phone available in two colours (Black and White) or 
A t-shirt available in three different sizes (Small, Medium and Large)
So the colours and sizes are variations of the product and store them, we have to use 'variable' products.  

Digital / Downloadable products: These types of products are downloadable, for example E-books, Software applications, Magazine, etc.

Grouped products: A Grouped product is a collection of related products which can be purchased individually and only consist of simple products. For example, a simple product for a 'pen drive' can be a group as 40GB, 8GB and 16GB variations of that same parent product.

External / Affiliate products: These products are External or Affiliate product, that is actually exist in another site but visible in your site and you receive certain commission amount from the hosted site.
for example, if you attach any amazon product in your site then your amazon would be your hosting site.
